Lauren Fujishima

I'm an artist, engineer, and designer interested in combining the practical and systematic approach of engineering with the creative, aesthetics-focused approach of art and industrial design.

I am currently looking for design engineering, mechanical engineering, and product design roles to further my career in new product design (NPD) and research & development (R&D). I was recently laid off from Rubbermaid Commercial Products, where I worked in R&D as a design engineer.

I graduated from Northwestern University in 2022 with a B.S. in Manufacturing & Design Engineering and a double major in Art Theory & Practice. While there, I participated heavily in rocket club, researched moon formation using computer simulations, and gained industry experience through an R&D internship with Newell Brands. I've also gone through the design process for a variety of projects, including a 9-month capstone in which my team and I researched, designed, and prototyped a new residential lighting product.
